"Unofficial" Opening

Although the building is not OFFICIALLY open, the actual construction work is completed, and only detailing and landscaping remains.

To co-incide with the sailpasts of Rocky Point Sailing, Burnaby Sailing and Centennial Sailing, the Old Mill Boathouse was open for public inspection on Saturday.

Those who stopped by, were suitably impressed with the building and the finishing. Details, such as the special interior lighting and the use of the exposed trusses are now exceptional standouts with the rest of the building being complete. Outside painting of the special siding is moving forward with the weather, and the Old Mill Boathouse OFFICIAL opening will be taking place in conjunction with Golden Spike Days, July 1,2002
